Chad Dlugolecki has been hired by Black Bear Sports Group to serve in the newly created role of Hockey Director for the Flyers Elite Tier I Youth Hockey Club. In this role, Chad will serve as head coach of the organization’s 16U & 18U teams – beginning with the 2021-22 season – while directing all aspects of the Club, including coach and player personnel.
Chad previously served as Director of Player Personnel and Assistant Coach with the Jersey Hitmen NCDC and youth program the past two seasons. For the three seasons prior, he was the head coach for the 18U and 14U program at the Hitmen. His team at the 18U level compiled 76 wins in two years. These past two seasons the NCDC team won the regular season championship and moved over twenty players on to Division I NCAA programs. Chad played his junior hockey for the Junior Bruins organization and went on to play NCAA D3 hockey at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Chad’s coaching experience also includes over ten years with NJ Devils Youth program, where he coached the midget 16U team for seven years. In that time, his teams won District Championships and attended the USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championships four times, earning a silver and bronze medal on two of those trips. Over his 15 years coaching youth and junior hockey, Chad’s players have moved on to play in the USHL, OHL, NCAA DI, AHL and NHL.
Jamie Hill has also been hired and will serve as Assistant Hockey Director for the Flyers Elite program. Hill, a 28-year-old from Glassboro, NJ, will join Flyers Elite following the end of the current season after serving one year as an Assistant Coach with the Elmira Jr Enforcers in the USPHL. He embarked on his coaching career following the transition from playing in the German Pro League. Hill also played in the SPHL, earning nearly a point per game in 2017-2018 for the Fayetteville Marksmen.
Prior to playing professional hockey, Jamie played junior hockey in the USHL for the Waterloo Blackhawks and later played NCAA Division 1 hockey at the University of New Hampshire. Jamie is an alumnus of our Club, having played midget hockey for Team Comcast, including helping his team win a silver medal at the 2008 USA Hockey 16U National Championships.
Jamie’s goal as a coach and director is to help players achieve their goals and become better on and off the ice.
