Flyers Elite Sees Six Players Selected in NAHL Draft

The North American Hockey League Draft took place earlier this week and the Flyers Elite Youth Hockey Club had six current or former players selected, as well as one Tender signed. This is a record number for one draft for the Club and highlights the continued developmental success for this prestigious organization.

The players, their birth year, and the team selecting them were –

Andrew Eberling (2002) – Danbury Jr Hat Tricks – #13 overall!

Jack Page (2001) – Jamestown Rebels

Sean Melso (2002) – Danbury Jr Hat Tricks

Daniel Sambuco (2003) – Danbury Jr Hat Tricks

Matt Boczar (2001) – New Jersey Titans

Trevor Giwerowski (2001) – Amarillo Bulls

Another former player, Charlie Banquier (2002), signed a Tender Agreement with the Odessa Jackalopes several weeks ago, making him ineligible for the draft.

Eberling, Melso and Banquier played together for many years in our program on a perennially strong 2002 team, achieving much team and individual success throughout their youth hockey careers.

Jack Page, a highly regarded and uncommitted NCAA prospect, was also drafted by Cedar Rapids of the USHL earlier this year. Jack has a bright hockey future as he moves on to junior hockey and eventually college hockey!

We are quite proud of these players as their hard work and commitment to their game is being recognized and rewarded, and wish them the best of luck as they take the next step in their journey.
