Cayden Primeau Makes NHL Season Debut for Montreal Canadiens

On April 24, Cayden Primeau made his 2021 season debut in net for the Montreal Canadiens. Cayden made 29 saves in a 5-2 defeat to the Calgary Flames, with one particular save being highlighted on Yahoo Sports.

Cayden has now made three starts in the NHL with the Canadiens, with the first two occurring in December 2019. Previously this season for the Laval Rocket in the AHL, Cayden had a 11-3-0 record with a .911 save percentage and a 2.07 goals against average.

Cayden is one of seven players to play for the Flyers Elite organization and later play in the NHL. One of those previous players, Johnny Gaudreau, scored two of the goals for the Flames against Cayden Saturday night.

Cayden also played for the Philadelphia Revolution, another Tier I youth hockey club owned by Black Bear Sports Group. Cayden’s father, Keith Primeau, played for the Philadelphia Flyers and is currently President of Hockey Operations for the Youngstown Phantoms.

Congrats to Cayden on making his season debut and continued success with the Canadiens!
