Max Kouznetsov, a Philadelphia Flyers Elite alum, has been named Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week!
From the Canisius Athletics Website:
“Kouznetsov was recognized after tallying three goals and an assist during the Golden Griffins AHA series versus defending champion AIC last weekend at LECOM Harborcenter.
The Voorhees, N.J., native began the weekend by recording a career-high three points on two goals and an assist in the Griffs’ 6-5 triumph over the Yellow Jackets. Kouznetsov had a hand in all three third-period goals in the contest, helping Canisius rally from a three-goal deficit on its way to the one-goal triumph.
He notched the game-tying goal on the power play 3:17 into the third before scoring the go-ahead goal midway through the frame. Kouznetsov helped the Griffs’ cap the comeback with a secondary assist on the eventual game-winning goal scored by junior linemate Daniel DiGrande.
In the series finale on Saturday, Kouznetsov tallied Canisius’ opening goal in an eventual 3-2 setback to the Yellow Jackets.”
Congrats to Max and continued success throughout the season!
