Alumni Update: Mattias Samuelsson Signs NHL Entry Level Contract with Sabres


CONGRATS to alum Mattias Samuelsson!

The Buffalo Sabres announced that Mattias has signed a three year entry level contract, officially starting his professional hockey career.

Mattias recently finished his second season with Western Michigan where he had a +17 rating, He finishes his collegiate career with 26 points in 65 career games.

Originally from Voorhees, NJ, Mattias spent many years playing for Team Comcast, the former name of the recently rebranded Philadelphia Flyers Elite youth hockey club. During his time with Team Comcast, he also played for the Philadelphia Flyers Quebec Peewee team, where he played in a thrilling overtime victory game against the Buffalo Sabres Peewee team. Playing for the Sabres that day was current Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee.
